Dr. Lie Kwok Ying 李国英医生

Dr. Lie Kwok Ying is a Senior Consultant Urologist at Farrer Park Hospital with extensive experience in managing complex urological conditions. He was one of the pioneer urologists at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, where he played a key role in advancing urological care, including introducing high-power laser platforms to improve treatment outcomes for kidney stones and benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). He was awarded a Ministry of Health Fellowship to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, Australia, where he further developed his expertise in BPH management. Upon returning to Singapore, Dr. Lie became the first urologist in the country to perform Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), and remains one of the few fellowship-trained and accredited surgeons offering this procedure. He has performed over 200 HoLEP procedures, including for elderly patients and those on anticoagulation therapy. Dr. Lie also introduced CO2 laser circumcision and Rezum steam therapy as minimally invasive options for BPH. He graduated with triple First Class Honours from the University of Cambridge and obtained his medical degree in 2001. He later earned his surgical qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Master of Medicine (Surgery). He is actively involved in teaching and training, serving as a residency site director and contributing to urology education in Singapore.
