Dr. Leslie Lam

Dr. Leslie Lam is an experienced Cardiologist practicing at The Cardiac Centre, Farrer Park Medical Centre. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Obstetrics from University College Dublin in 1967, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology with honors. He further advanced his qualifications with a Diploma in Child Health and became a Member and later Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and has received honorary and doctoral recognitions from Irish institutions. Dr. Lam completed his cardiac fellowship at the Cardiothoracic Institute, Brompton Hospital in London. He began his career in Singapore General Hospital as a Senior Registrar in 1982 and was promoted to Consultant in 1985. Over the years, he has served as a visiting consultant at Changi General Hospital and the National Heart Centre. Dr. Lam is recognized as one of the pioneers in performing Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), a minimally invasive procedure for treating coronary artery disease. He also serves as Honorary Consultant to the Ministry of Health, Myanmar, and holds a leadership role in the Society for Cardiac Angiography & Interventions in the United States. His clinical focus remains on interventional cardiology and coronary artery disease management.
