Dr. Leslie Kuek

Dr. Leslie Kuek is a highly experienced Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon with over 30 years of clinical practice in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He was a key contributor to the development of the Breast Reconstruction and Facial Paralysis Reconstruction programs at Singapore General Hospital, where he served in the Department of Plastic Surgery from 1986 to 1995. During his tenure, he also played an important role in teaching as a clinical lecturer for surgical trainees, medical students, and nurses. Dr. Kuek obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1981 and went on to earn his advanced surgical qualifications from the Royal College of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Glasgow in 1986. He further refined his expertise through advanced plastic surgery training in Japan and Taiwan. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kuek has held leadership roles as President of the Singapore Society of Cosmetic (Aesthetic) Surgeons and the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons. He is currently a member of the Singapore Academy of Medicine. His contributions extend beyond Singapore through humanitarian missions, including leading a medical team to treat victims of the Bali bomb blast in 2002 and participating in tsunami relief efforts in Sri Lanka in 2004. Dr. Kuek is also widely recognized in media and professional circles for his insights into plastic and cosmetic surgery.
