Dr. Lee Tau Hong

Dr. Lee Tau Hong is an infectious diseases specialist with extensive experience in managing complex infections across both community and hospital settings. His clinical expertise includes pneumonia, urinary tract infections, surgical site infections, and bone and joint infections, as well as antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship. He also has a strong focus on HIV medicine, tropical infectious diseases, and traveller’s health. Dr. Lee was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan Award to further his training in the management of viral hepatitis C at the Mortimer Market Centre in London, one of the largest NHS-funded sexual health clinics in the United Kingdom. Prior to entering private practice, he served as Senior Consultant in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and was Head of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Programme. He also led the Antimicrobial Resistance Coordinating Office at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases and currently chairs the National Antimicrobial Resistance Control Committee under the Ministry of Health Singapore. In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Lee is actively involved in medical education and research. He has served as a Senior Lecturer at both Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and is a faculty member of the National Healthcare Group Infectious Disease Senior Residency Programme. He has published nearly 50 scientific papers in leading journals such as JAMA, Lancet Infectious Diseases, and Clinical Infectious Diseases, and regularly serves as a peer reviewer for multiple international journals.
