He has been in private practice since 2004 and previously served as Senior Consultant in the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Singapore General Hospital from 1996 to 2004. Dr. Kong obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of London in 1985 and became a Fellow of the Faculty of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (UK) in 1991. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in both clinical care and medical education. He served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Medical Center from 1992 to 1993, contributing to academic training and knowledge exchange. Dr. Kong has also been recognized for his dedication to teaching, receiving the Merit Award for Undergraduate Teaching at Singapore General Hospital from 2001 to 2002. In addition to his clinical and academic roles, he is a member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Anaesthetists (UK), the Singapore Society of Anaesthesiologists, and the Asian Society of Paediatric Anaesthetists. With decades of experience, Dr. Kong is committed to delivering safe and effective anaesthetic care tailored to each patient’s needs.
