Dr. Khong Kok Sun 孔国绅医生

Dr. Khong is a highly experienced orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in joint reconstruction and replacement, musculoskeletal tumour surgery, orthopaedic trauma, and sports surgery. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1977 and subsequently obtained his Master of Medicine in General Surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow. Dr. Khong has played a pioneering role in musculoskeletal tumour surgery in Singapore, having received government sponsorship to train at the Mayo Clinic in the United States, where he became one of the first surgeons in Singapore to specialize in this field. He further advanced his expertise with a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at the Shock Trauma Centre in Baltimore. Prior to private practice, he worked at Singapore General Hospital and Alexandra Hospital, gaining extensive clinical experience. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Khong has held numerous leadership and academic roles. He served as President of the Singapore Orthopaedic Association and contributed to national healthcare through appointments with the Ministry of Health’s Advisory Committee for Orthopaedic Surgery and the Specialist Medical Board of the Singapore Armed Forces. He has also served as a consultant to international medical companies and as a Lieutenant-Colonel commanding a Combat Surgical Hospital during national service. Dr. Khong remains actively involved in teaching as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore and as faculty for international training programs.
