Dr. Kevin Tan

Dr. Kevin Tan is a highly experienced endocrinologist with over 20 years of clinical practice, specializing in diabetes, thyroid, and hormonal disorders. He currently runs his own practice at Farrer Park and Mount Alvernia Medical Centres, and also manages a Diabetes in Pregnancy clinic at Thomson Medical Centre. Dr. Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1987 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh as well as the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He received his training locally at Singapore General Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and further honed his expertise in the United Kingdom at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospital in Newcastle-upon-Tyne under renowned experts in diabetes and thyroid disorders. Dr. Tan has played a significant role in advancing diabetes care in Singapore, having served as Past President of Diabetes Singapore and holding leadership roles for over 15 years. He was instrumental in organizing World Diabetes Day Singapore events and co-chaired major international diabetes conferences. He is also actively involved in national advisory committees and professional societies related to endocrinology and metabolism. A passionate educator, Dr. Tan has delivered over 350 lectures locally and regionally, contributing significantly to public and professional awareness of endocrine disorders. His clinical and research interests include diabetes, pituitary-adrenal disorders, thyroid disease, and metabolic conditions.
