Dr. Karmen Wong 黄洁儿医生

Dr. Karmen Wong is a consultant medical oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Farrer Park, with extensive experience in the management of breast, gastrointestinal, and gynecological cancers. She is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and holds fellowships with the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. She also maintains active memberships in major international oncology societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the International Breast Cancer Study Group. Dr. Wong has played a pioneering role in advancing cancer care in Singapore. She was instrumental in establishing the first multidisciplinary breast cancer treatment approach in the country, creating a collaborative platform across specialties to improve patient outcomes. She also initiated the bone marrow transplant programme for solid tumors in Singapore and led the development of multidisciplinary tumor boards and dedicated breast cancer clinics at Singapore General Hospital. In addition to her clinical leadership, Dr. Wong has been actively involved in clinical research, including participation in international multi-centre trials such as studies involving Herceptin and chemotherapy for metastatic breast cancer, as well as ongoing research with targeted therapies like Lapatinib.
