Dr. Kan Yuk Man 簡玉文医生

Dr. Kan Yuk Man is a Senior Consultant in General Surgery with extensive expertise in upper gastrointestinal, bariatric, and surgical oncology, with a strong focus on minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery. He is the Director and Founder of KYM Surgery in Singapore, where he provides comprehensive care for upper GI, bariatric, cancer, and hernia conditions. Dr. Kan received his early specialist training in Upper GI and Hepatobiliary surgery at Addenbrooke’s University Tertiary Surgical Unit in Cambridge, United Kingdom, where he managed complex cases including acid reflux and oesophageal and stomach cancers. Following this, he undertook advanced fellowships at leading international centres in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Brisbane, further refining his skills in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery. He is recognized as one of the few surgeons in the region capable of performing complex laparoscopic surgeries for stomach and oesophageal cancers, offering patients faster recovery, reduced complications, and improved outcomes. Dr. Kan has been performing bariatric surgery since 2002, including laparoscopic gastric bypass procedures, and manages a wide range of patients with obesity.
