Dr. Jonathan Foo Shuo Min

Dr. Jonathan Foo Shuo Min is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at FeM Surgery @ Farrer, with expertise in both benign and complex colorectal conditions. He graduated from the National University of Singapore and completed his advanced surgical training at the National University Hospital. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012. In the same year, he was awarded the prestigious Ministry of Health Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) scholarship, which enabled him to undergo advanced training in minimally invasive colorectal surgery in the United Kingdom under Professor Amjad Parvaiz at the Minimally Invasive Colorectal Unit in Portsmouth. During this time, he gained extensive experience in laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery and contributed as a proctor in colorectal surgical courses across the UK, Europe, and Russia. Dr. Foo is highly skilled in managing colorectal cancers and a wide range of general surgical conditions. He has pioneered and standardized advanced techniques such as Transanal Total Mesorectal Excision (TaTME) and the use of Indocyanin Green (ICG) imaging for colorectal surgery. He is among the few surgeons in Singapore who routinely perform these specialized procedures. His practice includes advanced endoscopic techniques, minimally invasive surgery, and robotic-assisted procedures. Dr. Foo is committed to delivering personalized, patient-centered surgical care and leads both the Colorectal Centre and the Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery Centre at FeM Surgery.
