Dr. Francis Chin Kuok Choon

Dr. Francis Chin is a highly experienced radiation oncologist with over 20 years of expertise in both medical and radiation oncology. His clinical scope covers a broad range of cancers including breast, prostate, gastrointestinal, lung, gynecological, soft tissue sarcoma, and pediatric malignancies. He obtained his MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 1999 as an ASEAN scholar. He later received the Chevening Scholarship to pursue a Master of Science in Radiobiology in the United Kingdom, graduating with distinction in 2003. He was awarded the SingHealth Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship, completing fellowship training in Clinical Oncology at Middlesex Hospital and University College Hospital, London, where he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in Clinical Oncology in 2006. Dr. Chin spent over two decades at the National Cancer Centre Singapore as a Senior Consultant and also served as Visiting Consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He has held academic positions including Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Adjunct Assistant Professor under SingHealth Duke-NUS Oncology Academic Clinical Programme. He is an expert in modern radiotherapy technologies such as Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Volumetric Arc Therapy (VMAT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), and Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT). He has led major research initiatives, served on editorial boards, contributed to international oncology textbooks, and continues to be active in global oncology education and leadership.
