Dr. Foo Gen Lin

Dr. Foo is an Orthopedic Surgeon at BJIOS Orthopaedics with a strong clinical focus on managing sports injuries and helping patients return to an active lifestyle. He has a special interest in Sports and Hip Preservation Surgery, with expertise in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. He was awarded the Ministry of Health Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship, which enabled him to undergo advanced training in Sports and Hip Preservation Surgery under Dr. Matthew Brick in New Zealand in 2020. Following his return, he continued his clinical practice with Woodlands Health, working across both Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Singapore General Hospital. Dr. Foo is highly trained in arthroscopic (keyhole) and minimally invasive surgical techniques involving the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and foot and ankle. His approach emphasizes precise diagnosis, effective treatment, and rehabilitation to support optimal recovery, particularly for athletes. He is actively involved in the orthopaedic community, serving on the ISHA Regional Societies Sub-committee to promote hip preservation surgery in Southeast Asia. He is also a member of several international and regional professional organisations and regularly participates in conferences and academic meetings.
