Dr. Felicia Tan

Dr. Felicia Tan is the Director and Chief Surgeon of FeM Surgery, a leading surgical group practice in Singapore. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the National University of Singapore and completed her postgraduate training in General Surgery at the National Cancer Centre Singapore and Singapore General Hospital. She subsequently subspecialised in breast surgery. Dr. Tan has held several key clinical positions, including Associate Consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Consultant Surgeon at Raffles Hospital, before establishing her own practice. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and holds specialist accreditation in General Surgery in Singapore. Her clinical expertise lies in the comprehensive management of breast cancer, with a focus on achieving optimal oncologic and cosmetic outcomes. Her surgical repertoire includes breast-conserving surgery (lumpectomy), nipple- and skin-sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction, and vacuum-assisted biopsies. She is also the pioneer of the radioisotope occult lesion localisation (ROLL) technique in Singapore, used for detecting and excising non-palpable breast lesions. Dr. Tan is actively involved in research in breast oncology, particularly in young women, with a background in translational medicine and molecular profiling. She is also committed to public education and outreach, regularly conducting breast cancer awareness talks and international screening missions.
