Dr. Errol Chan is a Medical Director and Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at Ascend Eye Clinic, with extensive experience in managing a wide range of eye conditions and performing over 10,000 procedures. He is known for delivering meticulous, technology-driven, and personalized eye care to achieve optimal visual outcomes. Dr. Chan graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore, where he was placed on the Dean’s List. He completed his specialist Ophthalmology training at the National University Hospital, Singapore. He holds multiple prestigious fellowships from the Academy of Medicine Singapore and the Royal Colleges in Canada and the United Kingdom (Edinburgh, Glasgow, and London), making him one of the few ophthalmologists globally with such credentials. He further pursued advanced subspecialty training internationally, including a Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship at McGill University, Canada, and additional fellowships in Advanced Vitreoretinal Surgery and Medical Retina & Uveitis at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He also gained experience in refractive surgery at Optegra Eye Hospital London. Prior to private practice, Dr. Chan served as a Consultant Ophthalmologist with the National Health Service in the UK. He has also held academic roles as Clinical Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Adjunct Research Fellow at the Singapore Eye Research Institute. He has published over 40 scientific articles and received international recognition for his contributions to ophthalmology.
