Dr. Dennis Ng Zhaowen

Dr. Dennis Ng is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a strong focus on sports medicine, shoulder and knee conditions, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He has extensive experience treating both recreational and professional athletes across a wide range of sports including basketball, soccer, rugby, judo, cycling, and rock climbing. \n\nHe was awarded the Gold Medal for the Orthopaedic FRCS examination and completed subspecialty sports medicine training under a Ministry of Health (MOH) scholarship at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Centre in Ontario, Canada. Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Ng served as Deputy Head of the Shoulder & Elbow Division and Sports Knee Division at the National University Hospital (NUH), where he contributed significantly to the development of subspecialty sports orthopaedic services. \n\nHis clinical approach emphasizes minimally invasive techniques to improve surgical outcomes, reduce recovery time, and optimize return-to-sport outcomes for patients. His expertise spans shoulder conditions such as frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, instability, and arthritis; elbow conditions including tennis elbow and sports injuries; knee conditions such as ACL tears, meniscus injuries, cartilage damage, and arthritis; and ankle ligament injuries. \n\nDr. Ng’s practice is well known for managing complex sports injuries in high-performance athletes, with a patient-centered focus on functional recovery and long-term joint preservation. \n\nHe is currently practicing at The Orthopaedic Centre in Singapore and continues to be actively involved in advanced orthopaedic sports care.
