Dr. Chuang Hsuan-Hung is a cardiologist and heart failure intensivist with extensive experience in advanced cardiovascular care, cardiac imaging, and heart failure management. He previously served as Senior Consultant Cardiologist at the National Heart Centre Singapore and Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). He has lectured widely across the Asia-Pacific region and has also served as a lecturer for the American College of Sports Medicine. In addition, he is an advisor to the Singapore Sports Council, a board member of the Singapore Heart Foundation, and a senate member of the Management Development Institute of Singapore. \n\nDr. Chuang graduated with an MBBS from NUS in 1994 and completed his internal medicine residency at Singapore General Hospital. He subsequently underwent cardiology fellowship training at the National Heart Centre Singapore. He was awarded scholarships from the Ministry of Health and the National Heart Centre for advanced subspecialty training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, USA, where he focused on heart failure, heart transplant intensive care, and genetic heart diseases. \n\nHe further subspecialized in advanced cardiovascular imaging, contributing to research and development of cardiac imaging techniques and their applications in interventional cardiology and regenerative therapies. He also completed a sabbatical fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York in 2006, focusing on cardiac and peripheral computed tomography (CT). \n\nDr. Chuang holds multiple fellowships across leading international cardiology organizations, reflecting his contributions to cardiovascular medicine and research. He is actively involved in international cardiology societies, including the American Heart Association councils in clinical cardiology and cardiovascular radiology and intervention. \n\nHis clinical interests include cardiomyopathy, heart failure, echocardiography, myocardial infarction, mechanical circulatory support, hypertension, preventive cardiology, sports cardiology, and onco-cardiology.
