Dr. Christine Yau 姚文玲医生

Dr. Christine Yau is Senior Consultant and Director of Neuro-Ophthalmology at the International Eye Cataract Retina Centre, with practice locations at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre and Farrer Park Medical Centre. She is a specialist in ophthalmology with subspecialty expertise in neuro-ophthalmology and retinal eye diseases. \n\nDr. Yau graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2013. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), obtaining her Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 2017 and achieving specialist accreditation in 2019. She was also admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore, Chapter of Ophthalmologists in 2019. She further pursued Advanced Clinical Specialist Training in Neuro-Ophthalmology at SNEC from 2019 to 2021. \n\nPreviously, Dr. Yau served as Consultant in the Department of Neuro-Ophthalmology at SNEC. She also held an academic appointment as Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor under the SingHealth Duke-NUS Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences Academic Clinical Programme. In addition to clinical duties, she has been actively involved in postgraduate teaching for medical professionals, including neuro-ophthalmology and cataract surgery training. \n\nDr. Yau is committed to patient care, medical education, and community service. She was awarded the Singapore Health Quality Service Gold Award in 2022 in recognition of her dedication to clinical excellence and patient service. She regularly participates in community outreach initiatives, including eye screening programs and public health forums. \n\nHer clinical interests include neuro-ophthalmology, cataract, dry eye disease, blepharitis, myopia, floaters and flashes, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
