Dr. Chin Chao Wu David is a Senior Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist (ENT Surgeon) practising at The Ascent Ear Nose Throat Specialist Group, with clinics in Orchard, Thomson Road, and Telok Kurau Road. He provides comprehensive ENT care for both adults and children, with particular expertise in rhinology, advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, and endoscopic skull base surgery. His clinical practice focuses on delivering minimally invasive treatments that improve nasal function, relieve chronic symptoms, and enhance patients' quality of life. Dr. Chin specializes in the management of chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, nasal tumours, complex and revision sinus surgery, nasal airway obstruction, and sleep-related breathing disorders. He is highly experienced in Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS), endoscopic skull base surgery, endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR), selected endoscopic orbital procedures, functional septorhinoplasty, and surgical treatment for obstructive sleep apnoea. His expertise enables him to manage both routine and highly complex sinonasal conditions using modern endoscopic techniques. After completing specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology in Singapore in 2011, Dr. Chin pursued advanced subspecialty training through the Sydney Clinical Rhinology Fellowship, a programme accredited by the American Rhinologic Society. He subsequently established and led the Rhinology Service at Changi General Hospital and has held visiting consultant appointments at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, and KK Women's and Children's Hospital. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in medical education and research as a former Clinical Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore, an examiner for specialist exit examinations, and a contributor to numerous peer-reviewed publications. His academic contributions were recognized with the Yahya Cohen Memorial Lectureship awarded by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
