Dr. Chia Chung King

Dr. Chia Chung King is a specialist in Gastroenterology with subspecialty focus on liver-related disorders including hepatitis B, hepatitis C, fatty liver disease, liver cancer, and digestive cancer screening. He has extensive experience in clinical hepatology and general gastroenterology, having practiced at National University Hospital (NUH), Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), and Woodlands Health Campus (WHC) prior to joining private practice at gutCARE. He graduated from the University of Malaya in 2009 as a Dean’s List top student. He completed his medical training in Singapore, including housemanship and specialist training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology under the National University Health System (NUHS) Residency Programme. He obtained his Master of Medicine (MMed) and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, UK) in 2013. In 2016, he was accredited as a Gastroenterology specialist by the Ministry of Health Singapore and admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore. During his tenure at Woodlands Health Campus, he was among the pioneer specialists involved in hospital setup and led the pilot medical ward operations in 2017. He received the Service Excellence Award in 2019 for his contributions. Dr. Chia is actively involved in public education on liver disease and digestive health and regularly participates in healthcare talks and community outreach programs.
