Dr. Chan Siang Sui is a highly experienced General Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in minimally invasive surgery, oncologic surgery, and metabolic (bariatric) surgery. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1986 and went on to obtain his Master of Medicine (Surgery) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1991. He was later admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 1997. Dr. Chan further advanced his surgical training in the United States, completing clinical fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital and Lahey Clinic in Massachusetts. He has extensive experience in the surgical management of a wide range of cancers, including those affecting the esophagus, stomach, colon, rectum, pancreas, thyroid, and breast. Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Chan served as a Consultant in the Department of Surgery at Singapore General Hospital and in the Department of Surgical Oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore. In addition to his clinical work, he has participated in humanitarian efforts, including medical relief missions following the 2004 Sri Lanka tsunami.
