Dr. Caroline Ong Yu Ming

Dr. Caroline Ong Yu Ming is a dually accredited Senior Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Intensivist with nearly two decades of experience in Singapore’s public healthcare system, including Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She is known for her patient-centred approach, emphasizing safety, empathy, and high-quality care in both perioperative and critical care settings. She obtained her MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 2006, receiving multiple academic awards and medals. She went on to complete her Master of Medicine in Anaesthesiology in 2010 and achieved specialist accreditation in Anaesthesiology in 2012. She further advanced her expertise through the Ministry of Health’s Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) fellowship, completing advanced training in Intensive Care Medicine at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia, and obtained specialist accreditation in Intensive Care Medicine in 2015. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Ong is actively involved in medical education and training. She has served as Programme Director of the National Healthcare Group Anaesthesiology Residency Programme and later chaired its Programme Evaluation Committee. She has also contributed as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Clinical Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
