He has performed more than 6000 orthopaedic surgeries, including over 1500 knee procedures, and has particular expertise in knee, hip, and shoulder conditions. His subspecialty focus includes minimally invasive treatment of joint conditions, joint replacements, and fracture management. Dr. Ang is highly skilled in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the knee, hip, shoulder, and ankle, and routinely performs complex joint reconstruction procedures, including joint replacements in elderly patients. He adopts a patient-centered approach, tailoring treatment plans to individual needs using both surgical and non-surgical methods. He graduated from the National University of Singapore and has worked in leading institutions such as Singapore General Hospital and The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in the United Kingdom. He is also a Fellow of the American Orthopaedic Association. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ang is actively involved in education, conducting workshops for general practitioners, hosting regional doctors, and contributing to medical literature with publications and book chapters on knee replacement and arthroscopy.
