Dr. Aravind Kumar

Dr. Aravind Kumar is a fellowship-trained consultant orthopedic and spine surgeon with more than 20 years of international clinical experience across Singapore, Australia, and the United Kingdom. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of spinal disorders, combining advanced surgical expertise with a holistic approach that emphasizes conservative treatment whenever appropriate before considering surgery. His clinical interests include degenerative spine disease, slipped discs, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, spinal trauma, fractures, radiculopathy, and chronic back pain. He is highly experienced in minimally invasive spine surgery, including MIS-TLIF, MIS-XLIF, MIS-ALIF, minimally invasive fracture stabilization, endoscopic spine surgery, and computer navigation-assisted spinal procedures, enabling greater surgical precision and faster patient recovery. Dr. Aravind graduated from Madras Medical College, India, where he received a Gold Medal in Orthopedic Surgery. He subsequently completed surgical training in the United Kingdom, earning the MRCS, FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics), and Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). He pursued advanced fellowships in scoliosis surgery, spinal trauma surgery, degenerative spine surgery, and spinal deformity surgery in Australia and the United Kingdom. Since relocating to Singapore in 2014, he has served as a consultant orthopedic and spine surgeon, while actively teaching medical students and orthopedic residents. He has received multiple awards for excellence in patient care and medical education and continues to contribute to professional societies and community health education.
