Dr. Ajeet Madhav Wagle is a Medical Director and Senior Consultant at the International Eye Cataract Retina Centre at Farrer Park Medical Centre. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases, including retinal detachment, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular occlusions, as well as advanced modern cataract surgery and comprehensive eye care. Prior to private practice, Dr. Ajeet served as a Consultant at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and Jurong Medical Centre. He continues to contribute as a Visiting Consultant at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He has also held academic roles as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and as a part-time lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Dr. Ajeet obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999 and completed further subspecialty training in vitreoretinal diseases at Sankara Nethralaya, India. He is actively involved in research, with numerous peer-reviewed publications, and has authored a book and book chapters. He has also led national initiatives in raising awareness for age-related macular degeneration in Singapore and is committed to community service through charitable eye surgeries.
