Dharambir Singh Sethi

Dr Dharambir Sethi is an ear, nose, throat (ENT) surgeon practising at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore. He is a national and international leader in the field of Nose and Sinus Surgery. He is also a pioneer in the field of minimally invasive skull base surgery. Dr Sethi received his training in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He attained his Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons in 1987. In 1993, he completed a clinical fellowship in rhinology and endoscopic sinus surgery at the Johns Hopkins University. Dr Sethi is a visiting consultant at the Department of Otolaryngology (SGH) as well as the Singapore National Eye Centre. In 2000, he was featured as an entrepreneur of the SGH. Dr Sethi shares his knowledge extensively, having presented more than 50 instructional courses as an instructor at the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head Neck Surgery since 1996. Dr Sethi is a much sought after speaker who has delivered over 650 scientific presentations including keynote addresses in more than 18 countries including the United States, Canada, Europe, Turkey, Egypt, South Africa, India, China, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Middle East, Pakistan, Taiwan, Philippines, Australia, and Brazil. He has organised several workshops in endoscopic sinus surgery all over the world and has received international recognition for his work in endoscopic pituitary and skull base surgery. Dr Sethi serves on the editorial and review boards of several scientific journals and has published 2 books, 12 book chapters and over 50 peer-reviewed articles.

Hwang Siew Yoong Jason

Dr Hwang Siew Yoong Jason is an Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) surgeon. Dr Hwang was born in Malaysia and speaks fluent English and Malay. He was awarded the ASEAN scholarship by the Singapore government at the age of 12 and subsequently completed the rest of his education in Singapore. At the National University of Singapore, he was awarded the Tan Hiak Kew scholarship and completed his medical degree in 1996. His subsequent basic and advanced surgical training has given him extensive experience, having worked at all five major hospitals in Singapore. In 2006, with a scholarship from the Singapore Ministry of Health, Dr Hwang underwent sub-specialty rhinology training at McGill University and the University of Montreal in Canada. There, he was trained by Professor Martin Desrosiers in the management of difficult sinus diseases and complex endoscopic sinus surgery. In 2007, he subsequently worked with Professor Ludger Klimek at the Center for Rhinology and Allergy in Wiesbaden, Germany. Dr Hwang is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, Member of the European Rhinologic Society and Fellow of the American Rhinologic Society. Besides general ENT work for adults and children, his sub-specialty interest is in nasal allergy, immunotherapy, recalcitrant sinusitis, nasal polyps, revision sinus surgery, computer image guided surgery and endoscopic sinonasal tumor excision. Dr Hwang is actively involved in clinical and research work and publishes scientific papers and speaks at many International and local meetings and conferences. Dr Hwang also reviews for the Singapore Medical Journal. In addition to that, Dr Hwang is on the committee for the Singapore Ministry of Health’s Guidelines on Sinusitis and Allergic Rhinitis and is a qualified instructor for the American College of Surgeons’ Advanced Trauma Life Support Course.

Lim Keng Hua

Dr Lim Keng Hua is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. He has special interests in nose and sinus diseases, and allergies, with a subspecialty focus on rhinology and sinonasal allergy. With more than 18 years of clinical practice, he is also well-versed in managing both adult and children ENT problems such as ear infections, hearing loss, voice disorders, snoring and sleep disorders, salivary gland disorders and thyroid swelling. Dr Lim was a former consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), where he started the allergy and immunotherapy service to manage difficult nasal allergies and smell disorders. He continues to be a visiting consultant at TTSH. He obtained his bachelor’s and master's degrees in otorhinolaryngology at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. Dr Lim was awarded a clinical rhinology fellowship by the Ministry of Health to train in Europe in the management of rhinology, endoscopic skull base surgery and sinonasal allergy. He was the lead ENT tutor and adjunct lecturer at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, senior clinical lecturer at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and core faculty member in the National Healthcare Group ENT residency programme. With an interest in inverted papilloma, nasal polyposis, chronic rhinosinusitis and allergic rhinitis, Dr Lim has published in local and international journals, and has collaborated with several international centres like Beijing Tongren Hospital to improve the management of chronic rhinosinusitis. Dr Lim received a Clinician-Investigator Award for his work on allergic rhinitis at the 2011 Singapore Health & Biomedical Congress. He was the earliest doctor to use 5-Fluorouracil in the management of sinonasal inverted papilloma. He teaches allergy and rhinology courses and endoscopic sinus skull base courses organised by TTSH, Changi General Hospital, Singapore General Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He also teaches functional endoscopic sinus surgery and skull base courses in Thailand, and is on the panel of reviewers for the International Journal of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology and the journal Rhinology. Dr Lim is a member of the American Rhinologic Society, the European Rhinologic Society, the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society (Singapore) and the Asia-Pacific Society of Thyroid Surgery. He was an executive member of the Society of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery Singapore. He is also a member of standard setting committee for ENT specialist exit exam at the Academy of Medicine.
