Dr Sivahami Sivananthan is an obstetrician and gynaecologist (O&G) at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. Her clinical interests are in high-risk pregnancies (such as diabetes, asthma, thyroid and cardiac disease), medical complications in pregnancy (such as raised blood pressure in pregnancy, bleeding in pregnancy, pre-term labour and foetal growth restriction), adolescent gynaecology, menopause, colposcopy, gynaecological surgery and woman health screening. She also performs gynaecological procedures such as hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, cystectomy, myomectomy and hysterectomy. Dr Sivananthan was a consultant O&G at a private hospital. She graduated from the University of Bristol, UK and received her post-graduate specialist training in O&G in the Oxford Deanery, spending most of her training time at the John Radcliffe Hospital, UK. She gained membership in the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG). She subsequently undertook higher specialist training in high-risk obstetrics and maternal medicine at the John Radcliffe Hospital. She also holds a diploma in family planning from RCOG’s Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare. Dr Sivananthan has published in peer-reviewed journals, served as an author on a Cochrane review, and has presented at international and local meetings.
