Dr Lee set up the gastroenterology service at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) in 2010 and established the division of gastroenterology and the endoscopy centre for the hospital, serving as the clinical lead and chairman of the respective units before leaving for private practice. He was a former visiting consultant at the National University Hospital and KTPH. He graduated in 1998 and completed internal medicine training in 2004. In 2009, he was accredited as a specialist in gastroenterology. Dr Lee is a winner of the American Society Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) Audiovisual Award and the ASGE Crystal Award, which are international awards recognising outstanding educational productions and contributions related to gastrointestinal endoscopy.
