Dr. Soh Lay Sian

Dr. Soh Lay Sian is a highly experienced Senior Consultant Paediatrician at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital with more than four decades of experience in paediatric healthcare and child development. She graduated from Universiti Malaya in 1979 and began her paediatric training in Sarawak before continuing advanced clinical training in the United Kingdom. \n\nDuring her attachments at St Mary’s Hospital and Edgware Hospital in London, as well as the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, she obtained her Diploma in Child Health and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians. Dr. Soh subsequently held several senior roles including Head of Paediatrics in Kuala Terengganu, specialist service in the Paediatric Nephrology Unit at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and lecturer in Paediatrics at Universiti Malaya. \n\nAfter many years in government healthcare service and private paediatric practice, she became one of the pioneer paediatric consultants at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital. Dr. Soh is recognised for her compassionate and child-friendly approach, with expertise in comprehensive paediatric care, child growth and development, preventive healthcare, and long-term paediatric management aimed at supporting children’s overall wellbeing and healthy development.
