Dr. Sankar Pillay A/L Hovelly is an Orthopaedic Surgery specialist with expertise in trauma management, joint reconstruction, arthroplasty, and minimally invasive orthopaedic procedures. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree at Manipal University in 2011 and later obtained his Master of Orthopaedic Surgery (MsOrth) from the University of Malaya in 2020. In 2025, he further advanced his expertise through a Fellowship in Robotic Knee and Hip Replacement in India. Dr. Sankar’s clinical interests include trauma surgery, wound management, pain management, arthroplasty, arthroscopic procedures, and robotic total knee replacement. He is experienced in managing musculoskeletal injuries, degenerative joint diseases, and complex orthopaedic conditions using evidence-based surgical and rehabilitative approaches. His practice focuses on improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing functional recovery through personalised treatment plans and modern orthopaedic techniques. Dr. Sankar is also certified as a Certified Medical Impairment Assessor (CMIA) under the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Malaysia.
