Dr. Mahavishnu Sahadevan

Dr. Mahavishnu Sahadevan is a Consultant Neurologist and Head of the Neurology Unit at Putrajaya Hospital, currently providing sessional specialist services at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital. He has extensive expertise in autoimmune neurology, neuroimmunology, stroke medicine, and advanced neurological diagnostics. \n\nHe completed advanced fellowship training in Autoimmune Neurology at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Oxford, where he focused on precision-based neurological care and immune-mediated neurological disorders. His clinical interests include myasthenia gravis, autoimmune encephalitis, CNS vasculitis, stroke, epilepsy, seizure disorders, neuromuscular diseases, and complex neurodiagnostic evaluation involving EEG, NCS/EMG, and advanced neuroimaging. \n\nDr. Mahavishnu has authored several professional books and clinical monographs on Myasthenia Gravis, Plasma Exchange (PLEX), and Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG), widely used by clinicians and trainees in Malaysia. He has also completed advanced international training with institutions including Harvard Medical School, University of Oxford, UCL Queen Square, and King’s College London.
