He subsequently completed his Master of Orthopaedic Surgery from the Universiti of Malaya (UM) and was honoured with the “Best Master Student Award”. He further subspecialized and completed his 3-year Clinical Fellowship of Spine Surgery at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre.
