Goh Hood Keng Christopher

Dr Christopher Goh is a ear, nose, throat (ENT) surgeon with about 20 years experience in the field. He provides specialised care for patients with nose and throat conditions through his advance surgical techniques. He currently practices at his clinic in Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. He is also a Visiting Consultant to the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and National Cancer Centre. Upon his graduation from the Faculty of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (MBBS, 1985), Dr Goh obtained his postgraduate qualifications in Otolaryngology (FRCS Glasgow and Edinburgh, 1991). His training in Otolaryngology included a one-year stint at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland under the Health Manpower Development Programme Award. There, he was mentored by Professor Arnold Maran, a leading ENT-Head & Neck Surgeon in the United Kingdom. When he returned to Singapore, he completed his Advanced Specialist Training in Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery and was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. In 1995, through the SGH Scholarship, Dr Goh went on to do a year-long fellowship in Head & Neck Surgery in Toronto, Canada. Under the mentorship of Professor Patrick Gullane, a world renowned ENT-Head & Neck Surgeon, Dr Goh successfully completed his training and was awarded the American Head & Neck Society Joint Council Certification for Advanced Training in Head & Neck Oncology. Prior to his move to private practice, Dr Goh was the Head of Department and Senior Consultant of Otolaryngology at SGH. He remains a Visiting Consultant to the Hospital as well as to the National Cancer Centre Singapore. Teaching and moulding future generations of doctors is an aspect of medicine that Dr Goh has a passion for. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. He was Chief Examiner of the Otolaryngology Exit Examinations from 2007 to 2012 and has been invited as an external examiner for several overseas examinations. Dr Goh has also previously served as the Chairman of the Specialist Training Committee in Otolaryngology and Chairman of the Residency Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Health which oversees the training of residents in Singapore. Apart from his teaching commitments, Dr Goh is actively involved in the otolaryngology arena. He is currently the Treasurer of the ASEAN Federation of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. He served as President of the Society of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Singapore from 2007 to 2009 and is a founding member of the Asian Society of Head & Neck Oncology. Committed to providing the best for patients, Dr Goh has helped train surgeons through several medical missions to countries like Indonesia, Myanmar, Laos and Bangladesh, so that they can continue to serve their community. He is also presently the Chief Commissioner of St John’s Ambulance Brigade whose goal is to provide service to mankind through the promotion of first aid skills and CPR.

Heah Hon Wei Harold

Dr Harold Heah is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. He subspecialises in treating head and neck tumours, including thyroid, salivary gland oral cavity and sinus tumours. He is also experienced in various surgical approaches such as endoscopic surgery, transoral robotic surgery, and using the da Vinci surgical system. Prior to private practice, Dr Heah was the director of clinical services at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Head & Neck Centre. He was also a visiting consultant at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and went on to be a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. He completed his otolaryngology (ENT) specialty training in Singapore and was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan award to further subspecialise in head and neck surgery. He completed his clinic fellowship in advanced head and neck oncologic surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he trained in the care and management of head and neck cancer patients. Aside from his clinical work, Dr Heah has also been involved in medical education by serving as a core faculty member of SingHealth’s otolaryngology residency programme. For his role in education, he was awarded the SingHealth Outstanding Faculty Award. He was concurrently adjunct assistant professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School and clinical lecturer at the NUS’ Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Tan Kim Siang Luke

Dr Luke Tan is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. His expertise includes thyroid surgery, advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, and head and neck cancer surgery. He is also trained in robotic head and neck/thyroid surgery. He has an interest in thyroid surgery and has performed 650 surgeries during his private practice from 2008 to 2017. He started the ENT services at Alexandra Hospital, which is now the department of ENT at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Dr Tan was also the former head and associate professor of the department of otolaryngology at the National University of Singapore (NUS), and chief of the department of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the National University Hospital (NUH). Dr Tan attained his bachelor's degrees at NUS in 1988. After completing basic surgery training at the Singapore General Hospital and NUH, he pursued specialist training in otolaryngology in the UK. He was subsequently admitted as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, UK. Following his training, he was awarded a 2-year training fellowship in head and neck oncologic surgery in Texas, US. He was the president of the Society of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Singapore from 2004 to 2006. Dr Tan has published a book "ENT for family practice" for primary care doctors and was one of a few doctors to perform robotic thyroid surgery early on in Singapore. He has been practising medicine for more than 30 years. In 2000, Dr Tan was involved in the formation of the national ENT residency training programme. He was also the associate chairman of the NUH medical board. He has volunteered with the Singapore International Foundation for 12 years teaching ENT surgery in Vietnam and received the Long Service Award.

Tay Ze Yun

Dr Tay Ze Yun is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. He has a special clinical interest in head and neck surgery, and is experienced in managing various ENT conditions such as acute pharyngitis and tonsillitis, nasal allergy and sinusitis, hearing loss, and tinnitus. He also evaluates and treats enlarged neck lymph nodes, and neck masses including thyroid and salivary gland growths. Surgeries he performs include thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, salivary gland surgeries, excision of neck masses, complex resection of head and neck cancers, and general ENT procedures such as nasal and sinus surgery, tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. Prior to private practice, Dr Tay was a consultant in otorhinolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the Singapore General Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital (SKH), and a visiting consultant at the National Cancer Centre Singapore and KK Women's & Children's Hospital. He headed and started the head and neck service at SKH. He graduated from the National University of Singapore. In pursuit of his subspecialty interest in head and neck surgery, he completed the 2-year SingHealth Duke-NUS head and neck centre fellowship programme. He was subsequently awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan award to pursue a surgical fellowship in advanced head and neck surgical oncology at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. Furthermore, Dr Tay also completed the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies fellowship. He is a member of the Singapore Medical Association and a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He has been practising medicine for more than 15 years. Besides his clinical work, he was a clinical assistant professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and an adjunct assistant professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Dr Tay is a member of the Society of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Singapore and the Asia-Pacific Society of Thyroid Surgery. He is a recipient of the Singapore Health Quality Service Awards, Service with a Heart Award, and You Sparkle! Award.
