Dr Ang Peng Tiam lulus dari National University of Singapore (NUS) dengan gelar Sarjana Kedokteran dan Bedah pada tahun 1982. Beliau menjalani residensi di bidang Penyakit Dalam dan memperoleh gelar Master of Medicine (Penyakit Dalam) pada tahun 1986. Beliau menyelesaikan Fellowship dalam Onkologi Medis di MD Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston, Texas dan Stanford University Medical Centre pada tahun 1989. Dr Ang dianugerahi beasiswa Presiden Singapura pada tahun 1977. Beliau dianugerahi medali emas Prof Sir Gordon Arthur Ransome sebagai kandidat terbaik dalam Ujian Klinis Master of Medicine pada tahun 1986, dan National Science Award Singapura pada tahun 1996 atas kontribusinya yang luar biasa dalam Penelitian Medis. Sebagai pengakuan atas pengabdian publiknya, Sultan Kedah menganugerahkan gelar datuk kepadanya pada tahun 2003. Dr Ang adalah Kepala pendiri Departemen Onkologi Medis di Singapore General Hospital dari tahun 1991 hingga 1997. Beliau menjabat secara bersamaan sebagai Direktur Oncology Centre dan Clinical Associate Professor di Faculty of Medicine, NUS. Beliau tetap menjadi Visiting Consultant di National Cancer Centre. Beliau adalah Wakil Ketua Singapore Cancer Society, Ketua Medical Advisory Committee dari Breast Cancer Foundation. Beliau adalah mantan Presiden Singapore Society of Oncology. Beliau mempertahankan minat yang besar dalam penelitian dan telah mempublikasikan serta mempresentasikan lebih dari 100 makalah dan abstrak.

Dr Sandeep Uppal is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. Though he manages a range of ENT procedures, his interests are in facial plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic surgery and advanced sinus surgery. Dr Uppal was the former head of the department of otolaryngology at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He was also the head of facial plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic service there. He graduated from the University of Delhi and underwent training in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at Lady Irwin Hospital, India. He then pursued advanced specialisation in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery in the UK. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He did a 1-year fellowship under the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and trained in Germany, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, UK and the US. Dr Uppal also completed a 1-year fellowship in advanced rhinology by the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and honed his skills in a variety of complex procedures. He has been practising medicine for more than 30 years. Besides his clinical work, he has an interest in research and received a training fellowship to conduct research on the genetic basis of ENT diseases. He has 38 scholarly articles published in peer-reviewed international journals covering subjects such as facelifts, rhinoplasty, septoplasty, blepharoplasty, sleep apnoea and functional endoscopic sinus surgery. Dr Uppal also has been invited to make more than 175 presentations at over 75 scientific events worldwide including international conferences and workshops, symposia and live surgical courses. He serves as the section editor for the rhinology and facial plastic surgery portion of the book Symptom-Oriented Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Additionally, he has written three specialised book chapters, focusing on brow lifts, facelifts and facial fractures. Besides his clinical work, he has served as an adjunct assistant professor and senior clinical lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and has been part of the core faculty at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He is the chairman of the facial plastic surgery section under the chapter of otolaryngology at the College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He is also a national examiner and a member of the examination development committee for otorhinolaryngology exit examinations, overseen by the Ministry of Health. Dr Uppal is a member of several organisations including the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, and the Singapore Society of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. He is also vice-president of the Pan Asia Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and serves as the vice-chairman of Facial Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery India Trust. He is on the executive board of the International Board for Certification in facial plastic surgery, and is the chairman of the fellowship committee of the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies. In 2026, Dr Uppal was conferred the rank of Chevalier (Knight) of the National Order of Merit of the Republic of Guinea, one of the country's highest national honours, in recognition of his contributions to international healthcare collaboration and services to the Republic of Guinea.

Aside from his clinical work, Dr Heah has also been involved in medical education by serving as a core faculty member of SingHealth’s otolaryngology residency programme. For his role in education, he was awarded the SingHealth Outstanding Faculty Award. He was concurrently adjunct assistant professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School and clinical lecturer at the NUS’ Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
