Dr. Ekkapot Jitpun, MD, FRCNST

Dr. Ekkapot Jitpun is a neurosurgeon at Vejthani International Hospital's Neuroscience Center, with a subspecialty focus on peripheral nerve surgery, neuromodulation, and advanced pain management. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in 2009 and completed a six-year neurosurgical residency at the Neurological Institute of Thailand (NIT) from 2011 to 2017, receiving his Fellowship from the Royal College of Neurological Surgeons of Thailand (FRCNST). Recognising his exceptional interest in peripheral nerve conditions, he pursued a visiting research fellowship at the Department of Neurologic Surgery, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA from 2018 to 2019. Beyond general neurosurgery, Dr. Ekkapot's subspecialty practice encompasses brachial plexus injuries, entrapment neuropathies, nerve tumours, neuromodulation (spinal cord stimulation, radiofrequency ablation), and migraine surgery. He is a highly active member of the international neurosurgical community, serving on the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) Peripheral Nerve Committee from 2021 onwards and holding membership in the American Society for Peripheral Nerve (ASPN) and the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS). He has published peer-reviewed articles in Acta Neurochirurgica and World Neurosurgery, and co-authored national clinical guidelines for traumatic brain injury and hemorrhagic stroke.
