Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerapat Owattanapanich

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerapat Owattanapanich is a distinguished haematologist and Associate Professor at Vejthani International Hospital, serving as Director of the Adult Acute Myeloid/Lymphoblastic Leukemia (AML/ALL) Excellence Center. He graduated with First Class Honors from Thammasat University in 2008 — receiving the Thammasat Award for Academic Excellence as the top-ranked student — and completed his haematology residency at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in 2013, earning his Diploma of the Thai Board of Hematology. In 2019, he completed a prestigious research fellowship in acute myeloid leukaemia and stem cell transplantation at the Department of Internal Medicine III, Ulm University, Germany, and also received his Diploma of the Thai Board of Clinical Pathology that year. He was appointed Associate Professor in the Division of Haematology, Department of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in 2020. Dr. Weerapat has authored and co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications spanning acute leukaemia, lymphoma, stem cell transplantation, and related fields in journals including Hematology, Clinical Lymphoma Myeloma & Leukemia, and Annals of Hematology. He is a member of the Acute Leukemia Society of Thailand, the Thai Society of Hematology, and the Royal College of Physicians of Thailand, and is extensively invited to national and international academic conferences.
