Dr. Lau Jia Him is a Visiting Consultant Interventional Radiologist specializing in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures for vascular, neurological, oncological, and other complex medical conditions. His areas of expertise include interventional neuroradiology and the management of conditions involving the brain and spinal blood vessels, including cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, stroke, and other cerebrovascular disorders. His broader interventional practice also covers peripheral vascular disease, deep vein thrombosis, vascular malformations, liver and kidney tumours, uterine fibroids, internal bleeding, biliary disorders, abscesses, and cancer-related vascular conditions. His procedural focus includes cerebral angiography, endovascular intervention, aneurysm coiling, embolisation, thrombectomy, angioplasty, vascular stenting, tumour embolisation, radiofrequency ablation, image-guided biopsy, drainage, and other percutaneous procedures. Dr. Lau obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India and his Master of Radiology from the University of Malaya. He subsequently completed fellowships in Interventional Radiology under the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, and Interventional Neuroradiology in Sweden.
