Dr. Chan Ying Ho Henry is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon practising at HC Orthopaedic Surgery and a Visiting Consultant at Thomson Medical Centre. He specializes in hip and knee surgery, sports medicine, and advanced joint reconstruction, providing comprehensive care for patients with degenerative joint diseases, sports injuries, fractures, and trauma. His clinical approach focuses on restoring mobility and improving long-term joint function through evidence-based treatment and modern surgical techniques.
Dr. Chan has extensive expertise in computer-assisted joint replacement surgery, including pinless computer navigation, patient-specific instrumentation (PSI), and robotic-assisted joint replacement (Makoplasty). His practice also encompasses arthroscopic surgery, major joint reconstruction, revision joint replacement, and the management of complex complications such as periprosthetic joint infection, fractures, recurrent dislocation, implant loosening, persistent pain, and joint stiffness. In addition, he treats sports-related ligament and meniscus injuries, adult and pediatric fractures, and degenerative spine conditions.
Dr. Chan graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore in 2004. He subsequently obtained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS), a Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery, and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthopaedic Surgery (FRCS). Supported by the Singapore Ministry of Health Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Scholarship, he completed advanced fellowship training in Revision Hip and Knee Arthroplasty at Helios Endo-Klinik, Hamburg, Germany, further strengthening his expertise in complex joint reconstruction and revision surgery.
