Dr Hwang Siew Yoong Jason adalah seorang dokter spesialis bedah Telinga, Hidung & Tenggorokan (THT). Dr Hwang lahir di Malaysia dan berbicara dengan fasih dalam bahasa Inggris dan Melayu. Ia dianugerahi beasiswa ASEAN oleh pemerintah Singapura pada usia 12 tahun dan selanjutnya menyelesaikan sisa pendidikannya di Singapura. Di National University of Singapore, ia dianugerahi beasiswa Tan Hiak Kew dan menyelesaikan gelar kedokterannya pada tahun 1996. Pelatihan bedah dasar dan lanjutannya telah memberinya pengalaman yang luas, setelah bekerja di kelima rumah sakit besar di Singapura. Pada tahun 2006, dengan beasiswa dari Singapore Ministry of Health, Dr Hwang menjalani pelatihan sub-spesialisasi rinologi di McGill University dan University of Montreal di Kanada. Di sana, ia dilatih oleh Professor Martin Desrosiers dalam penanganan penyakit sinus yang sulit dan operasi sinus endoskopik yang kompleks. Pada tahun 2007, ia kemudian bekerja dengan Professor Ludger Klimek di Center for Rhinology and Allergy di Wiesbaden, Jerman. Dr Hwang adalah Anggota Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Fellow dari Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, Anggota European Rhinologic Society dan Fellow dari American Rhinologic Society. Selain pekerjaan THT umum untuk dewasa dan anak-anak, minat sub-spesialisasinya adalah pada alergi hidung, imunoterapi, sinusitis rekalsitran, polip hidung, operasi sinus revisi, operasi dengan panduan citra komputer dan eksisi tumor sinonasal endoskopik. Dr Hwang secara aktif terlibat dalam pekerjaan klinis dan penelitian serta menerbitkan makalah ilmiah dan berbicara di berbagai pertemuan dan konferensi Internasional dan lokal. Dr Hwang juga menjadi penelaah untuk Singapore Medical Journal. Selain itu, Dr Hwang berada dalam komite untuk Pedoman Singapore Ministry of Health tentang Sinusitis dan Rhinitis Alergi dan merupakan instruktur yang berkualifikasi untuk Kursus Advanced Trauma Life Support dari American College of Surgeons.
