Dr. Huang Xin Yong is a Senior Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist (ENT Surgeon) at ASCENT Ear Nose Throat Specialist Group, with clinics in Orchard, Napier Road, Thomson, and Joo Chiat. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, he provides comprehensive ENT care for both adults and children, with particular expertise in head and neck surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and the management of head, neck, and oral cavity tumours. His patient-centred approach combines advanced surgical techniques with multidisciplinary cancer care to achieve optimal functional and oncological outcomes.
Dr. Huang specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancers, thyroid disorders, salivary gland diseases, oral cavity tumours, and complex ENT conditions. He is trained in robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery and sialendoscopy, enabling patients to benefit from less invasive procedures, faster recovery, and improved preservation of function. His fellowship training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, one of Asia's leading head and neck tertiary centres, further strengthened his expertise in complex head and neck oncologic surgery.
Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Huang served as Director of the Head and Neck Service at Changi General Hospital and Site Chief of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Head & Neck Centre. Beyond clinical practice, he is actively involved in medical education as an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and Clinical Senior Lecturer at both the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. His academic work includes numerous peer-reviewed publications, international conference presentations, editorial responsibilities for leading medical journals, and leadership roles in international professional societies. He has also received multiple research grants, academic awards, and the Outstanding Faculty Award in recognition of his contributions to surgical education and research.
