Dr. Tan Khian Aun

Dr. Tan Khian Aun is a Visiting Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Neurologist specialising in paediatric neurology, child neurology, and neurodevelopmental disorders. His practice focuses on neurological and developmental conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents. His areas of expertise include epilepsy, seizure disorders, febrile seizures, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, global developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), neuromuscular disorders, muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, movement disorders, headaches, migraine, dizziness, sleep disorders, paediatric stroke, brain tumours, hydrocephalus, neurogenetic disorders, congenital neurological conditions, learning difficulties, and behavioural disorders. Dr. Tan provides paediatric neurological consultations, neurological and developmental assessments, neurodevelopmental screening, and electroencephalogram (EEG) services, including sleep EEG. His services include epilepsy and seizure assessment and management, cerebral palsy management, developmental disorder assessment, neuromuscular evaluation, muscle strength assessment, paediatric headache assessment, and long-term neurological follow-up. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and completed his Master of Paediatrics (MPaeds) at the University of Malaya (UM). He also holds Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), United Kingdom, and completed Fellowship training in Paediatric Neurology with the Ministry of Health (MOH), Malaysia.
